Job Title: Yard Operative

Department/Location: Operations / Barkip Biogas

Reports To: Site Supervisor

Reports: N/A

Key Relationships: Site Operatives, Yard Operatives, Management, Weighbridge, Technicians

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Yard Operative is responsible for the cleanliness and hygiene of the site and

ensuring full compliance with health and safety standards by keeping areas clean, tidy, and dry at all

times. The Yard Operative will deliver great customer service during delivery acceptance and will also be

responsible for ensuring the quality of our PAS110 Product.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure high levels of Health, Safety and Environmental practice with a duty of care to yourself and

others.

• Keeping the facility clean, dry and tidy at all times.

• Ensure strict sampling is carried out on all deliveries to site.

• Jet wash surfaces of operational areas.

• General housekeeping activities.

• Assist the Site Operatives with incoming delivery acceptance.

• Prompt reporting of SHEQ related near misses and incidents.

• Sundry tasks as requested.

• Working within company values and best practice.

• Good Timekeeping Skills

Primary Responsibilities

Operational hygiene and housekeeping

activities.

Promote and demonstrate safe working practices at all

times

Contaminant control. Working as part of a team to ensure KPI’s are met for

the company budget.

Incoming load inspection and acceptance for

AD.

Reporting incidents and near misses to relevant

personnel.

Qualifications & Training

Full training is provided.

UK Driving License.

Experience

Previous experience in a physically

demanding role.

Knowledge and understanding of

HSE Regulations.

Operations experience.

Professional Experience

Honest, approachable, can-do,

flexible, consistent, self-starter able

to roll sleeves up as required.

Product Knowledge

PAS110 understanding for which

training will be given.

Knowledge of AD biogas/feedstock.

Competencies

Can identify hazards and risks and deal with

them appropriately.

Physically fit and able to carry out physically demanding

tasks.
