Timber Mill Supervisor Permanent

A1 Jobs require a Timber Mill Supervisor with wood machinist experience for our client based in Glasgow.

The permanent role will pay up to £35000 based on experience.

Further job details:

– Stable, permanent employment in a Monday – Friday schedule

– 40 hours per week, no evenings or weekends

You will assist the Mill Manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of the shop floor including:-

– Monitor employee performance

– Provide support and guidance

– Provide training on machinery and moulders

– Quality control

– Report machinery issues to Management

– Follow Health & Safety and other procedures

– Occasional hands-on duties; assisting machine operators

What do you need to succeed?

– Supervisory experience in the timber industry

-Working knowledge of various wood machinery

– Experience producing quality hardwood / softwood mouldings

– Strong communication and organisational skills

– Ability to problem solve, make decisions and have an adaptable approach

– Knowledge of health and safety regulations
