Our client, an established, market leading name within waste management, is looking for a talented and competitive Sales Representative who thrives in a busy sales environment. As a Sales Representative you will play a fundamental role in achieving our client’s ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth targets. You must be comfortable making a large number of calls each day as well as making field visits to clients to generate interest, qualify prospects and close sales.
Based at our clients Stirlingshire location, you will be responsible for managing and maximizing revenue potential from a portfolio of existing client accounts as well as generating new business by targeting new commercial businesses across Scotland. Although based in Stirlingshire, the role will require some field based sales activity as well as regular visits to our clients Glasgow offices.
Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calls and emails and by field sales and prospecting visits
Fully understand customer needs and requirements
Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales team member for further development and closure
Close sales opportunities and meet set targets
Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest from potential customers
Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory
Regularly liaise with colleagues and other team members to build sales pipelines
Provide weekly reports to Senior Management regarding prospects, account updates, target companies, sales pipeline etc.
Proven sales experience, preferably within the waste management/hazardous waste or construction sectors however previous sales experience within a service led environment is essential
Track record of over-achieving targets
Strong phone presence and experience of making a large number of calls per day
Previous field sales experience
Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong listening and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Excellent PC skills and a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel and PowerPoint
Hours of work will be 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday however due to the nature of the work involved a degree of flexibility will be required.
